How to Prepare
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes
- Avoid heavy meals or caffeine beforehand
- Arrive a few minutes early to relax
- Come with an open mind and intent to heal
What to Expect During Your Session
- You’ll lie fully clothed on a comfortable massage table
- A calming environment with soft music and gentle lighting
- The practitioner will either lightly touch or hover hands over different areas of your body
- The session usually begins at the head and moves down toward the feet
- No talking is required during the session, but you may share feedback at the end
- Sessions typically include a few minutes of discussion beforehand and time to reflect afterward.
After Your Reiki Session
- Drink plenty of water to help your body process the energy shift
- Give yourself time to rest and integrate the experience
- Avoid overstimulation—spend time in nature, journal, or meditate
- You may feel tired or emotional; this is part of the healing and will pass
- Listen to your body and consider scheduling additional sessions as needed
